Cafe Manager/Orders Desk Lead

We're currently hiring a full-time cafe manager/orders desk lead.

Agro Roasters is an organic, specialty coffee roaster located in Strathcona, East Vancouver. We're currently hiring a full-time (40h/week) cafe manager/orders desk lead.

We're passionate about organic and quality coffee, sustainability and supporting farmers. We operate a tasting cafe in the same location as our production facility, and our customers range from residents and staff at local businesses, to coffee enthusiasts who often come from far away to drink and talk coffee with us. On the wholesale side, we supply coffee to other cafes and restaurants, as well as grocery stores.

We're looking for someone who shares the same interests as we do, and who will represent our values.

Main duties include managing the tasting cafe and staff, and coordinating wholesale orders fulfillment. Occasionally, this person helps organize and participates in industry events and store demos.

Requirements, qualifications & physical demands:

  • Coffee brewing and latte art experience

  • Proven excellent customer service skills

  • Friendly, positive and professional attitude at all times

  • Supervisory experience and ability to motivate staff

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and solve problems

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

  • Ability to lift 50lb boxes of coffee

  • Willingness to run errands, when needed, to pick up and/or deliver supplies

  • Class 5 driver's license with clean driving record is an asset

$18/hour + tips. Free lunch and as much coffee as you can drink.
